Large temperature differences between the core and surface of structures causes thermal cracks whenever mass concreting work is involved. Higher concrete temperature causes a lot of issues like faster drying of concrete, loss of workability, cold joints formation, excessive shrinkage cracks, rapid evaporation of curing water and difficulties in finishing finally causing overall reduction in the 28 day compressive strength.
To overcome these issues, Hindustan RMC Ice Concrete is produced via a Special Chilling Plant using chilled water or ice flakes that helps control the temperature of the concrete and maintain it within acceptable limits. Other ingredients are also thermally controlled and used to bring down the temperature within acceptable limits at the time of placing. This highly reduces all the above listed disadvantages.
